Preparation for your appointment
-Can I use a nipple shield?
the answer is..... a nipple shield is sometimes a necessary tool, but should be used along with guidance for difficulty transferring breastmilk.
-Does a pacifier interrupt breast feeding?
the answer is.......You can overlook the feeding cues and miss when a baby is hungry and asking to be fed due to a pacifier. Pacifiers can be used in certain circumstances during the first 8 weeks of life.

-What does a Telehealth visit cost?

the answer is..... Most insurance companies will cover a Telehealth lactation visit. The way this type of service is provided, the client will pay their provider (me in this case) and then submit a claim for reimbursement through insurance. I will issue the paperwork for my services which is called a "superbill" so that you can be reimbursed by your insurance company.
